Halloween Card - Happy Haunting

With "Back to School" behind me, I am now thinking ahead. Halloween and Fall are on the horizon. I have not made anything with these themes yet this year, so I thought I would post some I made previously, to get us all in the fall mood. I made this card with the very first Halloween themed stamp set I ever had. It is CTMH D1180, Happy Haunting, a very versatile Halloween set. Eeek! Isn't that what we say when we see spiders? "Flounder" 9x9 LO

I participated in a Disney Alphabet Swap. One slot I took was letter F. My son Brian watched this movie (The Little Mermaid) about 65 times the first week we got it (but shhh, don't tell anyone). So, I just had to do Flounder. I drew him and colored him in with colored pencils. Ha Ha, the joke was on me, I had to make 27 of these LOs -- at least it wasn't 65!! Peachy heart hugs, Debbie

Snowflake Sugar Cookies

Who doesn't love cookies?? These are samples of my Christmas Cookie swap. These layouts show that you can put your recipe into a pocket. I love variations - I hope one of these inspires you. Peachy heart hugs, Debbie

Layered Pumpkin Pie Layouts

Here are two samples of a layout done for another Recipe Swap. Here I used the L Solo stamp. I also used Autumn Terracotta cardstock. I punched the pie using my Sizzix. Makes me long for November so I can have some pumpkin pie. Peachy heart hugs, Debbie

Walnut Cookies LO

I made these layouts for a Christmas recipe swap...I tried to have the "flip up" holding the recipe look like a Christmas light box. Again, I used a Solo stamp, letter W and I believe I used New England Ivy and Holiday Red cardstocks. Ready to try a recipe layout yet? Peachy heart hugs, Debbie

Festive Fall Pumpkin Dip and Cinammon Chips

Here is a sample of a recipe layout with the second recipe on a tag, that tucks in behind the primary recipe. In this case, the dip recipe is on top; the recipe for the chips is tucked behind. Remember to not secure the side down that you will be tucking the tag in behind. I used the letter F Solo stamp on this LO and I used Crystal Blue and Blush cardstocks from CTMH. The stamp set I used is Alfresco, though it is not of snowflake images, I just love the one small image and to me, it resembles a snowflake. Peachy heart hugs,

Roughin It

I love doing 6 x 6 recipe layouts. Check mine out and maybe you will get hooked on them too. They are economical...you can get four pages out of a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock. Also, they are super fast. If you have a really long recipe, you can make a tag to add the extra info or say it is a two part recipe, like for cake and the icing, you can split them...putting the cake recipe on the layout and the incing on a tag that you tuck behind the cake recipe. I will post more samples to inspire you.
I love using them as gifts and doing themes or the alphabet...watch for more posts of some I made previously. Peachy heart hugs, Debbie

Witches Shoes

Aren't these STINKIN CUTE? Lynita helped us make these cute little candy holders, which are paper witches shoes. I love them...not sure what brand of paper the patterned papers are, but the cardstock is from CTMH. I need to dig out my pattern and start making them now for Halloween. Peachy Heart hugs, Debbie

Playful Petals Card

I love this paper kit from CTMH, called Caprice. I love the way the colors pop off of the chocolate. The stamp set is Playful Petals. If you have not peeked at "Wishes" or "Originals", it is a must for card makers. Jeannette Lynton is fabulously creative and her tips, techniques and sketches are so versatile and pretty, you will want these books. Ask me, I'd be glad to show you, or if I have a spare copy, lend it to you. Happy card making! Peachy heart hugs, Debbie

Acrylix Visual

CTMH was the first to introduce "clear" stamps. If you have not used clear stamps before and are still using rubber stamps, sometimes called "woodies", you are really missing out. I love this visual. It compares woodies with acrylix. If you have not tried our stamps and would like to, contact me. I'd love to demo our stamps for you. Have fun stamping! Debbie

Cards Made with Notebook

It really took me a while to warm up to this paper kit. There was only one or two of the B&T papers that I liked, but I was not crazy about all of them. (B&T is Background and Texture paper...CTMH language for patterned paper.) But then my friend and sister consultant Kimberly used this kit in a team swap we did and I just LOVED her swap! Kimberly is a wonderful artist and her work is very detailed and always so very pretty. So her artwork inspired me to give this paper kit a second chance. Here are the cards I made...I have to say that I have found that once I play with a paper kit, I usually change my mind about it...and this kit was no exception. I LOVE these papers now. I used D1320, Shining Star, for the stamping. Pretty huh? Thanks Kimberly...you always inspire me. Peachy Heart hugs, Debbie

Free Spirit LO

The Free Spirit papers from CTMH speak "AUTUMN" to me. I just love the fall! I love the every changing beauty in the landscape, God's handiwork. The colors are so rich and they blend so well together. I love the breeze and the shadows and the birds and the crisp quick movements made by everyone scurrying a little faster because the weather is brisk. I also love scarecrows and pumpkins, and crows and I love corn on the cob and I love fall festivals at school, craft festivals in small towns across Georgia and I love our trunk or treat at church. SO many things to love about fall. I love wearing turtlenecks with sweaters and sweatshirts. I love this color scheme. This paper kit would be great with any of these fall themes. I hope this layout, colors or papers inspire you to get ready for fall. Happy crafting! Peachy Heart hugs, Debbie

Paper Garden LO

Happy Saturday everyone. I had a fabulous time today...scrapping with Alesha and her friends. We made a really fun tropical layout and even the newbies finished and more imporantly, liked the layout they created. Below is a very pretty layout, made with the CTMH Paper Garden papers -- very soft, very springtime. Peachy heart hugs, Debbie
