Yes, the witch is in...

I hope you had a fun time this Halloween and you did not get spooked!
I made quite a few candy bar covers this year and some matchbook candy holders but I did not finish all the projects I started, crafting time was very elusive. I failed to get pictures made before I distributed any of the treat holders this year - not too smart on my part. Here are some cards from last year...I am sad to say that I never got any Halloween cards made this year. I hope these can inspire you (and me!) for next year. Since Amanda has aged out of trick or treating, we still get in some Halloween fun...we had a fun time at "Trunk or Treat" again this year.
Here is Amanda with her "little sister" that she has "adopted".Amanda helped out with the younger children along with some of the other girls. She also decorated our trunk and passed out the candy for me, sweet!
She had fun walking some of the younger girls around to all the decorated trunks, helping them to fill their bags full of candy and goodies.
Amanda always enjoys riding the hay ride too...but since they wait til dark, it is usually too cold and bumpy for me these days.
The best part of the evening to me, is when the bonfire is lit...it is always so nice to get warm by the fire.
Hope you have some toasty Halloween memories to keep you warm this year too.

Finally...a New Post

Well, finally, here I am with an update. Whew, so much has happened since March. I surely broke my New Years' resolution to post artwork more often. But here I am now. Let me start with a family update.
Here is a recent picture of Amanda.
We were out having fun at Johnny G’s for Girl Scout kick off to the new school year. She was so happy with her ticket “haul”! She is working on a SB layout from this day; I will post it when she finishes. She just loves her new GS troop; I am so thankful to the wonderful ladies and girls that invited her
in...she is a Senior GS this year...gosh I can not believe how quickly these last 9 years have passed.
I can still remember those "good ole" days...here are a couple pics from the past.
Golly, where did the time go? Our daisy troop was learning to iron...haha, the skill did not stick with Amanda, I am very sad to say. But I still have my beautiful girl and she has lots of other great talents.
I do really need to organize my old photos and get scrapping on these. If you have not yet tried Studio J, you should. I plan to use Studio J to catch myself up...I did not think I would like digital scrapbooking, but with studio J, studio scrapbooking is easy, fast, economical and so fun!
If you would like more info about it, let me know.

Peachy Heart Clubbers "Sweetheart" LOs

Happy Spring! I cannot believe it is March already and I have not posted for several weeks now. Are you ready for Spring break? Whew, I certainly am. Here are the samples of artwork that we did for March Club night, last night. If you would like to learn more or join us and get some scrapping done, ask me for more information. Ask me about the club perks…hope to hear from you soon. This LO is the one that most mirrors the LO in the Sweetheart brochure. I modified it slightly, to fit my photographs and taste. That is the beauty of the kits, you can easily modify the inspiring artwork. This LO showcases one of our new alpha sets, E1018, Pennant Alphabet. Pennants are super popular right now. Our set includes the Uppercase Letters on the pennants, the letters apart, so that you can stamp them on in another ink color and also the numbers. I purposefully moved the journaling block from the side near the photo to the center overlapping the two pages. Why you may ask? Well, if you look closely, I got ink on the edge of my block, which then transferred to my journaling block. I thought it was not as noticeable with the journaling block split in half so close to my “boo boo”. See, I make mistakes too…the secret is to minimize the effect if you can. "Boo boos" can always be covered or changed. LO two is a sketch from Jeanette Lynton’s book “MAGIC”, and I also modified it, but only slightly. The chipboard flower on the left side of the LO actually rotates and covers hidden journaling. And here is the journaling on the other chipboard flower. The photo below reflects the images in one our new alpha sets, E1019, Bohemian Alphabet. It is so pretty, just wanted you to be able to see it a little more up close. The images in this set includes all lower case letters, numbers 0 – 9, common punctuation marks and a couple flowers and flourishes. This view shows the detail of this stamp set so nicely. Next month, we will do the "Lucky" kit. Let me know by the end of March if you plan to attend in April, so I have ample time to order your kit. Happy scrapping! Peachy heart hugs, Debbie

WOTG Club - Layout One for February 2011

Well, I finally finished the LO, one of them, for next Friday night's club night. It did not take long to make, it took me long to START, LOL! I modified the sketch we will do from that in the brochure, slightly - to accommodate my pictures.
If you bring pictures, try for some vertical pics for the right side of this LO, as seen in the next pic and one large one for the left side, as you will see here:
The LO on the left, I added an extra picture not shown in the LO in the sketch in the WOTG brochure. I also added a journaling block, because I don't always like to use my own handwriting (like a lot of you too).
My daugher Amanda is in the pics with me. My neice Bree, is in the pics with Amanda.
I can't wait to see what you all do with this skecth and your pictures.
Hope to see next Friday.

Make It From The Heart - CTMH Card Contest

For our CTMH Consultant Contest, “Make It From the Heart”, I also made a card using our new Wings Level 2 Kit. The card is a variation of a tri-fold card. It has a graduated front, so I call it a Graduated Tri-fold card. The sketch is from the CTMH book, “Wishes”, page 15.

I used several stamp sets on it including: D1348: Priceless Love Word Puzzle, B1376: Wings D1363, Picture Perfect. D1283: Say It In Style. C1456: Heartfelt Treasures, D1479: Dreams Come True, C1422: Unity, D1328: Post Marked and D1269: Feb Word Puzzle. That’s a lot, I know…but I might have just used one small stamp from the set. The colors are Juniper, Black and Vineyard Berry. I did some wet embossing on the front. The card highlights some our new embellishments.

I was going to send this to my nephew Josh, who I just found out, is back from his deployment. So instead of sending it “across the big pond” I will just send up to ND. If you have any questions about any of the products, please let me know.

Make It From The Heart - CTMH Contest

Finally, I made some artwork for our CTMH Consultant Contest, “Make It From the Heart”. The first item I submitted is a LO using our new Sophia Level 1 Kit. The requirement is to only use the pre-formated and other papers in the kit, along with the complimenting Stickease.
What a challenge for me! No stamping! No embellishments! Not even any distressing with ink!! I did make a flip up with the cardstock, used a Stickease strip to make a “ribbon-like” embellishment and I used the included cardstock to make photo and Stickease mats. I also cut into one of the preformatted photo squares, to tuck the matted Stickease in. Here is the left side:
The photos are of my DD Amanda and my DN Brianna. The photos really compliment the Sophia papers and are a good soft “unusual” choice for a Christmas themed LO, but to me, they work.
This is the left side of the LO, with the flip-up.
Thanks for looking! Peachy Heart hugs, Debbie

Wings WOTG Club **Reminder

Monday was the last day to take advantage of the January CTMH special tied to the Wings Workshop on the go. Thank you to all of you who confirmed attendance for my 18 Feb, new WOTG Club kick off.

I have ordered and received kits for everyone who did respond. I have one extra kit, for the first person to indicate they will be attending. Stay tuned for the artwork samples from the March WOTG.

Here is a sample of one of the layouts we will be making if you attend. It is the same LO as was advertized in the flyer I mailed out. I hope you will be joining us!! Peachy heart hugs, Debbie Taylor
