New Year - New Focus!

Happy New Year Everyone! I know for myself, my family and for many of my friends 2010 was a challenging year. Now that we are into 2011, I hope to put the good and not so good of 2010 behind me. I am looking forward to this new year with lots of hope…I wonder what it will bring. New Years usually means Resolution time. I only have one resolution for 2011 which is "SIMPLIFY”. I want to simplify my chaotic life so that I can spend more enjoyable time with my family and to devote more time to serving God. I also have a couple of goals for the New Year. First and foremost, I need to devote more time to studying God’s Word. I so want to be a good example for my family and others and I certainly cannot be pleasing to God nor a good example if I am not in God’s Word enough. Secondly, like many others, I need to focus more on my health. The last several years, I have let my physical health slide. I want to correct that and make greater effort to take better care of myself. I also need to focus on my mental health as well. Like many, I have a lot of stress in my life and I truly would love to find a way to make peace with some concerns and to learn new or better techniques to handle the everyday stressors. And lastly, part of SIMPLIFYING my world, would be to find ways for me (and my family members) to be more organized. Whew, that is going to be a tough goal to met. Happy 2010!

Can you believe a WHOLE DECADE has passed since the New Year's Eve we all sat waiting with a lot of anxiety for the new millenium? My son Brian and I were awake on New Year's Eve 1999 waiting for 2000. We were in Italy at the time, Michael and Amanda were sleeping. We watched the year change from 99 to 2000 as the globe turned and the year changed in countries across the world until it reached us in Italy. I cannot believe that was TEN years ago. My but the time truly as flown.

I hope you enjoyed your New Year's Eve 2010 last night. Amanda and I ate pizza and pecan pie a la mode and watched...Wizard's of Waverly Place, The Movie. What delicious fun. Then of course we ensured our good luck for this year by enjoying black-eyed peas and cornbread today, courtesy of my sister Dawn, the wonderful cook. Thanks Dawn, yummy!

Fall / Winter Idea Book Released

Hello Fall and Winter; Goodbye Summer!

I sure hate to see summer go, but boy won't the fall weather be nice. Blowing in with fall is our new Idea Book - Yay!!

I will be having an Open House, which is NOT this Friday, sorry for the short notice cancellation. My sister is just home from the hospital and my daughter is very sick, so I had to postpone. Peachy Heart Greetings! I have just returned from Boston – I just loved it there! The architecture is so bueatiful and I fell in love with an old fire house right near our hotel - bet I took 20 pictures of it alone! We had the pleasure of seeing the JFK Library, Fenway Park and a Red Sox game - quite exciting stuff! I am glad to be home, but I am so behind. I do have several upcoming events I need to tell you about! By now most of the kids are back to school -- at least here in Middle Georgia they are, and at my house, we are trying to settle back in to some kind of routine! Well I hope everyone in Houston and Bibb counties experienced a great "back to school" on Tuesday. My daughter is in Middle School (sob, sigh, sob) and growing up to fast for me.

New Idea Book: I am so excited...our newest Idea Book, goes "live" on 1 September! I have been hearing wonderful things about our new products and I can't wait to share the products and new book with you. Be watching for information on how to get the newest book free at my Open House coming up at the end of August.

Save The Date: I will be teaching two classes at a multi-venue crop on 7 November. The crop will be from 9 to 9, location will be local to WR and more details will be forthcoming. The theme is "Therapy Crop...are you addicted to paper crafting? Need support? If so, don't worry, we're here to "doctor" you up!" Will be fun...so save this date.

Another Date to Save: 12-14 March 2010, the Garden of Memories...a cropping, crafting and creative celebration of Memories! I will be teaching classes and the location will be Perry, Georgia, National Fairgrounds/AG Center. More details will follow.
